Cloud Storage

Cloud Storage automatically offloads your Sunshine Photo Cart gallery images to a cloud storage provider of your choice. Images are uploaded to the cloud as they're added to galleries, URLs are seamlessly rewritten so everything just works, and you can optionally remove local files to free up server disk space.

Each provider is fully integrated with automatic endpoint detection, bucket listing, and a one-click connection test that verifies read/write access.

Automatic Offloading

Images are offloaded to the cloud immediately after upload and processing — no manual steps required. Full-size originals are stored with private access and served through secure, expiring signed URLs to protect your work. Thumbnails and display sizes are served directly from the cloud for fast loading. If an upload fails, the addon automatically schedules a retry.

Flexible Scope

Offload only Sunshine gallery images or expand to your entire WordPress media library. When set to the full site, every new upload through the media library is automatically offloaded to the cloud.

Configurable Bucket Paths

Control how files are organized in your bucket with an optional path prefix, year/month folder structure, and object versioning for cache busting. Gallery images are automatically organized by gallery ID.

Bulk Migration Tool

Already have existing galleries? The built-in migration tool analyzes your library, shows exactly how many images need offloading and how much space they'll use, then processes them in batches with a real-time progress bar. Failed uploads are tracked and can be retried with one click. An email summary is sent when migration completes.

Media Library Integration

A cloud status column in the WordPress media library shows which images have been offloaded at a glance. Offload individual images with a single click from the row actions, or select multiple images and use the bulk action to offload them all at once.

Volume Galleries Cloud Import

If you use the Volume Galleries addon, you can import galleries directly from cloud storage folders without downloading files to your server first. A tree-view folder browser lets you navigate your bucket and select folders to import. Images can be imported as cloud-only attachments, skipping local storage entirely.

WP Offload Media Compatibility

Migrating from WP Offload Media? Cloud Storage recognizes images previously offloaded by that plugin and continues serving them from the cloud — even after WP Offload Media is deactivated. The migration tool can convert existing WP Offload Media metadata to Sunshine's format.

Secure Credential Storage

Store your cloud credentials in wp-config.php rather than the database for added security. The settings page provides the exact code snippet to add based on your selected provider.

Storage Costs

This add-on only covers the software to help offload your images to a 3rd party storage provider. You are responsible for the cost of actual storage you use with your provider. Please research available providers to determine which will be the best and most cost-effective for your needs.
