FAQ
Will I need to upgrade?
You may continue using version 2 + add-ons for as long as you want and upgrade when it makes sense for you. However, there will be no more bug fixes or updates to version 2 of the the core plugin.
Will I need to pay for this upgrade?
If you already have an active Sunshine Photo Cart plan, you will not need to pay again for this upgrade. Individual add-ons will also get upgraded at no additional cost.
What if I have custom code or designs?
It is highly recommended to create a staging site and test version 3 and any customizations. Create a support ticket for help with your customizations for version 3.
Will I lose any data in the upgrade?
When you upgrade from version 2 to version 3, an upgrade script will run and keep all your galleries, images, orders, and settings in tact. It is still HIGHLY recommended to test the upgrade process on a staging/test site first.
Should I buy now or wait until version 3 is out?
Buy now! Prices will be going up when version 3 is released but you can lock in current pricing for the lifetime of your license if you buy now.
