How to enable free image downloads

With the Digital Downloads add-on, you can enable free downloads on a per-gallery basis. This allows users to download individual images or the entire gallery without having to go through the checkout process.

Setup Free Download Products

You will first need to setup at least one Digital Download product with "Free Download" enabled. You can create as many of these as you wish.

If you do not want to actually sell this product, leave the price empty and it will not be made available for sale and only be used for free downloads.

Enable Gallery Settings

Edit your gallery and find the "Downloads" tab where you can enable free downloads for single images or the entire gallery.

In addition, you can set restrictions on free downloads including:

• Number of free downloads for a user (this is tracked by IP)
• Specific user accounts allowed to download for free when logged in
• Require an email address be provided before downloading for free to help build an email list
• Enter a predefined passcode to download free images
