Analytics and Translations!

We have released version 1.1.0 of Sunshine Photo Cart which introduces two big additions: Analytics (Pro only) and Translations.

Analytics

gallery-analytics

This feature we are extremely excited about, it’s one that I feel is missing from most other photo cart tools and even larger scale e-commerce platforms. Our new Analytics addon will let you see some very useful statistics about what users are doing on your site. Here is a quick list of some of the data you can track in regards to galleries:

  • Total number of unique session visits (If a user closes their browser window and comes back, that is 2 visits. Repeatedly visiting the same gallery in a single session is only counted once)
  • Which users have visited that gallery
  • Which images have been viewed and how many times

dashboard-stats

We also provide some great financial and overall statistics to help you get a better grasp of what people are doing and what they are buying. The additional information on the Dashboard provides:

  • Last 10 users to login
  • Sales totals
  • Total number of sales
  • Average amount for each sale

What we feel most people will love is the profit data. Every product now includes a new field where you can enter what it costs you to have that product made. This allows Sunshine to tell how you much money you are actually making from your photo gallery (except for any transaction fees charged by PayPal or Stripe). We also make the data available in interactive charts on your Sunshine Dashboard.

Translations

checkout

We didn’t anticipate so many users coming to us internationally so quick. But we have now started on the path to making Sunshine fully international by making it multilingual! We have started of by adding translations for French and Spanish, but please feel free to request another language to be added. The translations were done automatically via Google Translate and are not 100% accurate. We hope our international users can help fine tune the translations. We also put a help article together on how to put WordPress into your language.
