A new way to create galleries in bulk is now in beta for all existing Pro customers. You can go to Sunshine > Add-on Manager to find the new add-on and install it on your site. I am looking for feedback on how the add-on works and where any tweaks can be made or if there are any bugs before releasing the 1.0 version.
Why Bulk Galleries? Many school and sports photographers need the ability to create many galleries with just a few images in each. Art and stock photographers may want to quickly build their entire catalog into the proper gallery organization quickly within Sunshine. This add-on helps make the process of creating many galleries significantly easier in Sunshine.
Upload any hierarchy of folders and images via FTP, select an existing "source" Sunshine gallery to clone the settings from, and let the add-on do the rest to create the galleries which are named based on the folder or filename. Optionally, you can also upload a CSV file which will let you custom overwrite various settings for each gallery such as choosing a unique gallery name or password.
This add-on will eventually integrate with the Messaging add-on to automatically notify assigned email addresses about the new gallery creation but is not yet available as of this writing. For example, you can create hundreds of new galleries and notify every customer about the new gallery with their unique access password in a few steps!
