Have a password-only landing page
If you password protect every gallery, you might not want visitors browsing a gallery listing at all. Instead, you can create a simple landing page with just a password field. When someone enters a valid gallery password, they're taken straight to the matching gallery.
How to Set It Up
- In your WordPress admin, go to Pages > Add New
- Give the page a title — something like "View Your Gallery" or "Client Access"
- Add the
[sunshine_gallery_password]shortcode to the page content - Publish the page
That's it. Visitors who land on this page will see a single password field. When they enter a password that matches one of your galleries, they'll be redirected to that gallery automatically.
If Your Galleries Also Require an Email Address
If you've set a gallery's Access Type to "Provide Email Address" in addition to password protecting it, visitors will be prompted for their email address on the gallery page after entering their password. The password landing page handles the password lookup and redirect, and the gallery page handles the email requirement as a separate step before showing images.
Keeping Clients from Seeing Other Galleries
If you want this landing page to be the only way clients access their galleries, it's a good idea to also hide the main galleries page. Go to Sunshine > Settings > Design and enable Hide link to main galleries page. This removes the link from the Sunshine Photo Cart menu so visitors won't stumble onto a gallery listing.
